The Folloze Product Spotlight is a monthly update of new solutions, capabilities and product enhancements. Feel free to reach out to us with questions or feedback at product@folloze.com.

ENHANCEMENTS

Access & Security: Days to Expiry

To further optimize how Access & Security settings can be used to protect your Boards, we've added a new feature that enables you to manually set how long someone can continue visiting a Board before they're asked to re-authenticate themselves.

This enhancement applies to both the password protection and two-factor authentication options.

Access & Security: Two-Factor Authentication

We've made a small enhancement to the 'By Email' option within the Access & Security settings that allows you to fully activate or deactivate authorization by domain.

You can deactivate domain-based authorization if you're planning on only using a Folloze email campaign to invite visitors or if you'd like to revoke access to all previously authorized domains.

Keep in mind that you can always revoke access to individual domains by simply removing them from the selected list as well.

6sense Connector: Segments

The first enhancement to our recently released 6sense connector is already here!

With this new enhancement, 6sense customers will be able to leverage their 6sense segments directly inside the Folloze platform. Now, you'll be able to select your pre-built 6sense segments, in addition to the same firmographic and demographic data you're already using, when building personalization rules for your Boards.

Board Inviter: Allow External Inviters

Due to the increased popularity of channel and partner marketing use cases among other things, we've made a change to the behavior of Board inviters.

If you didn't already know, you can actually give Subscriber or Editor permissions to other Folloze users who are members of a different organization than yours. In channel and partner marketing use cases, this means that both vendor and partner can collaborate on co-marketing campaigns without having to worry that partners will access each others' materials.

To maintain consistency with this ability, Board inviters are no longer limited to only members of your organization. Folloze users outside your organization can now be set up as Board inviters as well. This change applies to any product features that interact with Board inviters, including any associated personalization rules as well as the contact card.

Leading Item: Open In New Tab

We've made a small change of behavior to leading items. Previously, if a content item was configured to "open in a new tab" and then selected as a leading item, a Board visitor who clicks on that item would see an intermediate screen prompting them to click a second time before being sent to the new tab.

To make this feature more intuitive, the small change here means that visitors will immediately visit the new tab after clicking on the leading item (assuming the leading item has been configured to do so).

COMING SOON

User-Based Identity: Stronger User ID

Here's a quick sneak peek of what's to come in the June Product Spotlight.

Coming next month, Folloze users will no longer be able to overwrite their own cookie if they click on a Board link that contains a different identity (say, that of a customer contact) than their actual identity.

Instead, if you're a user of Folloze, your identity (and what is stored in your cookie) will be based on your status as a Folloze user. This makes it much more difficult for Folloze users to accidentally change their identity to something incorrect which typically happened during Board testing.

Of course, this means that testing Boards in Incognito Mode is an even more important best practice than it was before, particularly when testing personalization rules by forcing query parameters in the URL.

Note to Readers:

Some of you may have seen a preview of Folloze Live Events during one of your recent visits to the platform. With the full announcement just on the horizon, now is the time to preview the capability and get ready for this next big release.

If your curiosity is at all piqued, you definitely need to reach out to your Account Manager or Customer Success Manager for more information. I've gotten to play around with Live Events in our testing environment, and it's seriously my personal favorite for "release of the year" so far (which is high praise given how much I loved our recently announced 6sense integration as well)!

Whether this is your first time reading our Product Spotlight or you've been here for every edition so far, thanks for taking the time to get caught up! Hopefully, I'll be seeing you again next month :)
