ENHANCEMENTS

Folloze Live Events: Attendance Tracking

Our newest upgrade to Folloze Live Events is an upgrade to our analytics and engagement tracking capabilities.

Now, Folloze will track the Attendance status of event participants, and even better, Folloze will split Attendance into 'Attended' vs. 'Viewed Recording'. That gives you the ability to double-click into event engagement and understand whether more of your buyers prefer a live or an on-demand experience. It also means you can safely capture the long-tail of engagement post-event because you can easily track on-demand engagement, even from participants who didn't attend the live session at all.

In order to get this level of granularity in your engagement tracking, make sure to toggle the 'Attendance button' to on under the Live Events tab within the Designer.

For a review of the full set of virtual event capabilities included within Folloze Live Events, like our latest simu-live streaming or our native Zoom Meeting and Webinar integrations, read "Adding a Live Event to a Board" in the Help Center.

General Accessibility Improvements

We've introduced a number of overall accessibility improvements to how a live Board can be interacted with. Enhancements to how visitors of a Board can navigate the Board with keyboard keys, like navigating between items using Tab or Shift+Tab, is included in this set of enhancements.

Articles: New Text Options

Subscript and superscript text formatting options are now available in the Article editor. For more information on what an Article is and how to properly format your Article, read "Adding an Article to a Board" in the Help Center.

COMING SOON

Email Connectivity: Limit Sends Per User

Coming soon is an organization-level setting for Admins to limit how many emails can be sent per user, either limited by hour or by day. Of course, this setting really only applies to customers who are making good use of our host of email campaigning features. This includes users currently integrated to Office365 and Gmail. We expect this enhancement to be available sometime around or shortly after the end of February.

CUSTOMER SUCCESS SPOTLIGHT: Meghan Richardson

When asked for a fun fact, Meghan thought you should know...

"I grew up in the historic town of Colonial Williamsburg. People from all over the world would come to visit the historical sites of Jamestown Settlement, Yorktown, and Colonial Williamsburg.

When I was in middle school, I participated in a youth program where I portrayed the life of a girl living in the Jamestown Settlement in 1607. I dressed in colonial attire and completed different chores like gardening, feeding animals, sewing and cooking. It was an incredible experience where I learned a lot of new skills and met people from all around the world, but most importantly, it taught me how to work hard and accomplish my goals."

When it comes to using Folloze, Meghan thought you should know...

"Folloze enables frontline marketers to engage new and existing accounts in a variety of cool ways. On the flip side, marketing teams have their own goals and initiatives to meet, whether it's lead generation or meetings booked. When using Folloze, one best practice I think is essential to highlight is for frontline marketers to put themselves in the shoes of their audience. Taking a step back to understand your audience and consider how a Folloze Board will be perceived through a prospect's eyes is imperative. A few questions to consider:

  • Will visitors recognize the value I am presenting?
  • Is my message clear and will my audience understand what I'm asking from them?
  • Is what I'm presenting appealing and interesting enough to explore?

I've found answering these simple questions put marketers in a much better position to achieve their goals when building experiences for their customers."

ANNOUNCEMENT

The Folloze Best Board Awards (Now Closed)

On behalf of the rest of the marketing team at Folloze, I'd like to thank everyone that submitted entries to our Folloze Best Boards Competition for 2021. The contest is now closed, and we are no longing accepting new entries.

We had a record number of entries this year, and with judging underway, it's fair to say that judging is the coolest "project" I've worked on in a while. It's incredibly interesting to see all of the creative and innovative ways our customers use Folloze. Some entries were incredibly effective, generating some impressive results in terms of sourced revenue. Others were brilliantly creative in the use case they developed, with use cases ranging from product launches to RFP submissions and everything in between.

We'll announce winners for each of our three categories soon, but we're already looking forward to seeing what y'all submit next year.

NOTE TO READERS

Looking back on the last 14 editions of the Folloze Product Spotlight, this is probably one of the lighter editions we've published in terms of how many things were included on the list of enhancements and upgrades. At the risk of getting my wrist slapped, I want to assure you this is a sign of great things to come! Product planning has been underway for quite a few months now because we're planning some huge releases for the year. I can't give away much more than that, not this month at least, but I thought it worth a mention.

The other thing worth a mention is how cool it's been to be on the judging panel for the Best Board Contest this year. Given that it's my first time judging this contest, I wasn't too impressed with the "record" number of entries (mostly because I don't know what to compare this year too). Instead, what impressed me the most was the range of interesting ways frontline marketers are using their Boards to share content, offers, and information.

One use case I've been seeing more and more of recently is the account portal use case. What makes this different from a personalized landing page is that a personalized landing page is largely set and forget. The account portal use case involves a frontline marketer continually updating the Board with relevant content and upcoming events. One marketer in Cybersecurity I know uses his 1:1 account portals to regularly share a "latest threat assessment" to his key accounts on a weekly to monthly basis. What an incredibly innovative way to leverage Boards to personalize the stream of content being delivered to just one account.

Anyways, I'll save the rest for after we can announce the full slate of winners. We'll share plenty more details about why the winners won, and I encourage you to keep a look out for that announcement. Who knows what new use case you might discover :)
